WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY ON DIAMONDS?

GIA Certified Mined Diamonds that have been purchased at Windy City Diamonds are 100% refundable up to 30 days after the original purchase as long as they are returned in the original mint condition and are accompanied with the original laboratory report.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 30 DAYS with Certified Diamonds?

After 30 days, GIA Certified Naturally Mined Diamonds that have been purchased at Windy City Diamonds are 50% refundable from the original purchase price, when accompanied by the original laboratory report, and in the original mint, undamaged condition.

CONDITIONS TO BE AWARE OF:

GIA Naturally Mined Diamonds only, without treatment or enhancement, are only refundable with the original laboratory report, and must be in the original mint condition. Mountings and Labor are not refundable at any time. 

DO YOU HAVE A LIFETIME UPGRADE POLICY?

If you wish to upgrade any certified diamond that you purchased at Windy City Diamonds, L.L.C., we offer a you the full amount that you originally paid for your GIA certified naturally mined diamond, at any time, as long as the diamond has not been damaged or altered, and is accompanied by the original laboratory report that you received when you purchased your diamond.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A CUSTOM MADE RING?

Normally, we can manufacture a custom designed piece of jewelry for you within about 2 to 3 weeks. This is amazingly fast compared to most manufacturers.

HOW MUCH EXTRA DOES IT COST TO MAKE A CUSTOM PIECE OF JEWELRY?

There is a misconception that this process must be very expensive. The reality is that someone must make the ring in the first place, we are simply doing this for you, so the additional expense is very little to make this piece of jewelry exactly the way you would like it. No need to compromise on your ring. After all, this will be worn for a long time.

Custom made jewelry purchased from Windy City Diamonds has been manufactured specifically for you and is non-refundable.

Are your Diamonds Conflict Free?

It has been important to our family since the inception of our company to be assured that we are dealing only with legitimate companies that treat their workers fairly, respectfully, with proper housing and fair working wages. We will never deal with those companies that hire “sweat labor” or “child labor” and we subscribe to the Kimberly process. The Kimberly process is a world-wide agreement among diamond dealers to assure of conflict free diamonds by guaranteeing from one hand to the next that each step of the way diamonds have been handled in this fair and proper way. 

We guarantee that all diamonds purchased from Windy City Diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict diamonds in full compliance with United Nations Resolutions. We hereby guarantee that all of our diamonds are conflict free based upon personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by our suppliers.
